December 2007 ~ A change of course
A natural-looking weir now interrupts the flow of the River Ravensbourne at University Hospital Lewisham, diverting a proportion of the flow into a new channel which meanders its way through the northern end of Ladywell Fields.
The diversion completes the second phase of the QUERCUS (Quality Urban Environments for River Corridor Users and Stakeholders) project and follows the creation of Cornmill Gardens. QWAG had input into the design of both phases.
